 Umm ar-Rasas:
is considered one of the most important archaeological tourist sites in Jordan, attracting Christian pilgrims from around the world due to its ancient religious landmarks. The most significant discovery at the site is the mosaic floor of the Church of St. Stephen, dating back to the year 785 (discovered after 1986). This well-preserved mosaic floor is the largest in Jordan.

 

 

The Madaba Visitor Center is housed in a restored 19th-century building, making it a tourist attraction in itself. Operated by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, it serves as an ideal starting point for visitors exploring Madaba. The center is open throughout the week, including holidays, and is fully equipped to prepare you for your journey to the land of mosaics and religious history.
