Day 4:

Amman_Mount Nebo_Madaba_Petra Hotel.

Mount Nebo

Mount Nebo is one of Jordan’s most important religious and historical sites, located west of the city of Madaba. It is believed to be the place where Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) stood and viewed the Promised Land before his death, making it a sacred site for followers of the Abrahamic religions.

The mountain offers a stunning panoramic view of the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, and on clear days, Jerusalem can be seen from the summit.

At the top of Mount Nebo, you will find:

– A memorial for Prophet Moses
– An ancient Byzantine church with beautiful mosaic floors dating back to the 6th century AD
– A small museum displaying religious and historical artifacts

Mount Nebo attracts visitors from around the world, especially pilgrims interested in religious history and peaceful natural landscapes.

Madaba is a historic city located south of the Jordanian capital, Amman. It is famously known as the “City of Mosaics” due to its remarkable collection of mosaic artwork dating back to the Byzantine and Roman eras.

One of Madaba’s main attractions is its ancient churches, especially:

St. George’s Church (The Church of the Map):
This is the most famous site in Madaba. It houses the oldest mosaic map of the Holy Land, dating back to the 6th century AD. The map accurately depicts historical locations in Palestine, Egypt, and Jordan — including Jerusalem.

Church of the Apostles:
This church features a beautiful mosaic from the 6th century, with a central image of a woman symbolizing the sea, surrounded by fish and marine creatures.

Church of the Virgin Mary:
An ancient church that showcases magnificent Byzantine mosaics, discovered beneath a more recent church structure.

Madaba is a must-visit destination for history and archaeology lovers, offering a wonderful blend of artistic beauty and religious heritage.

Day 5:

Petra Visit_Wadi Rum Camp(2h Jeep Tour ) Wadi Ru Camp.

**Petra** is one of the world’s greatest archaeological treasures and is considered the crown jewel of tourism in Jordan. It is located in the southern part of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, specifically in Ma’an Governorate. Petra is an ancient city carved entirely into rose-colored rock, which is why it’s also known as the “Rose City.”

Historical Background:
– Petra was founded by the Nabataeans in the 4th century BC and served as the capital of their kingdom.
– It played a significant role as a trade center connecting ancient trade routes from the Arabian Peninsula to the Mediterranean.
– It remained prosperous until it came under Roman rule and gradually declined in importance.

Main Landmarks:
1. The Treasury (Al-Khazneh): The most famous landmark in Petra, a massive façade carved into the rock, about 40 meters tall.
2. The Monastery (Ad-Deir): A huge structure similar to the Treasury, but larger in size, located atop a mountain and accessible by climbing more than 800 steps.
3.  The Siq: A narrow, winding passage about 1.2 km long, serving as the main entrance to Petra, surrounded by towering rock walls.
4. The Nabataean Theater: A rock-carved amphitheater that could seat thousands of spectators.
5. Temples and Royal Tombs: These reflect the Nabataeans’ impressive skills in architecture and stone carving.

#Why is Petra important?
– It was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985.
– Chosen as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2007.
– It stands as a symbol of Jordan’s cultural and historical identity.

Wadi Rum

, also known as the Valley of the Moon, is one of Jordan’s most breathtaking natural wonders. Located in the southern desert, it is famous for its dramatic red sand dunes, towering sandstone mountains, and unique rock formations shaped by wind and time.

Wadi Rum offers a peaceful escape into nature and is a popular destination for adventure seekers. Activities include:

– Jeep tours through the desert landscapes
– Camel rides with local Bedouins
– Rock climbing and hiking
– Stargazing and overnight camping in traditional Bedouin-style tents

Wadi Rum is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has been a filming location for many famous movies, including Lawrence of Arabia, The Martian, and Dune.

The Dead Sea is one of the most unique and extraordinary natural sites in the world. It lies at the lowest point on Earth’s surface, about 430 meters below sea level, forming a natural border between Jordan and Palestine.

The Dead Sea is famous for its extremely high salinity, which makes it uninhabitable for marine life but offers visitors a one-of-a-kind experience — effortlessly floating on its surface. Its mineral-rich mud is widely used for therapeutic and cosmetic purposes, making it an ideal destination for relaxation and wellness.

Popular activities at the Dead Sea include:
