Day 1

AMMAN PETRA AMMAN

Al-Maqssad team will meet and greet you at Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), assist you with airport procedures, and then transfer you to visit the following tourist sites.

 

Petra

is an ancient historical city in southern Jordan and is one of the most famous tourist attractions in the world. It was established in the 6th century BC by the Nabateans and is known for its unique architecture carved into pink rocks. Petra features many remarkable landmarks such as the Treasury, the Monastery, and the ancient streets. It is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

The distance between Petra and Amman, the capital of Jordan, is about 225 kilometers (140 miles), and it can be reached by car in approximately 3 to 4 hours, depending on road conditions and traffic.

 

Petra contains many wonderful tourist attractions that draw visitors from all over the world. Some of the most notable landmarks include:

1. The Treasury (Al-Khazneh): One of the most famous landmarks of Petra, a massive facade carved into pink rocks, which was used as a royal tomb.

2. The Monastery (Ad-Deir): A large temple carved into the rock, famous for its size and the beauty of its details. It is one of the most prominent sites in Petra.

3. The Colonnaded Street: A main street that once connected various landmarks in Petra, featuring ancient columns.

4. The Petra Theater: An ancient theater that could hold thousands of people, used for performances and events during the Nabataean era.

5. The Royal Tombs: A group of tombs carved into the rocks, used for the burial of prominent Nabataean figures.

6. The Byzantine Church: Contains beautiful mosaic floors depicting scenes from the Christian era.

7. The Circular Path: A path that runs through Petra, allowing visitors to explore many of the different landmarks in the ancient city.

 

Day 2:
check out and drive to Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) for final departure.
